This movie while i think is alittle over rated, still is a damn good movie. with an outstanding cast. Departed takes place in my stomping grounds of boston, dealing with the irish mafia. Leo Decaprio is a state police officer that goes undercover to infiltrate Jack Nicolson's group of drug dealers and murderers, Looking for the right time to strike and arrest the Mob boss. meanwhile Matt Damon is a State Police officer reporting all he knows back to Nicolson's character so he never gets caught with his pants down. both Leo and Matt are trying to find out who each others character really are while trying not to get found out by either party. this 3 hour rat infested undercover cop movie manages to hold your interest almost all the way through. ( i think i got bored once) Scenes are intense and The massachusetts vocabulary and demeanor is in full effect making this movie very believable and raw. some parts are alittle hard to follow in the beginning due to the fact that it jumps around pretty fast, So I highly recommend repeat watchings. By the end of this movie you'll be saying in your head that was one of the coolest endings to a movie i've seen in a long time.

Strong rent or buy. I don't know if this is a buy for everyone but it delivers quite a punch for a solid MUST RENT.
