Ultraviolet

3.31.2006

UGGHH...This movie was awful. It provided no addition to the movie society as most movies lately. It was just a big piece of garbage.

If you haven't seen the trailer, it states--as does the begining of the movie--that this girl Violet lives in a future you may not understand. Well, I can tell ya' why we can't understand it. It's because nothing was explained...the technology, the characters, nothing...Mash that up with the worst script ever written and some crazy action sequences and You've got yourself a movie. All this movie was was eye candy. Anyone looking for anything else out of this is gonna be really really dissapointed.

You follow Violet, who is a super soldier; a person that was infected with this virus that makes you a super human. You have to come to the realization near the end of the movie that this virus is the vampire virus...But it wasn't even revealed in a clever way it's like a child who's drawn scribbles on a paper and while you stand there in a stuper trying to figure out this mess, they tell you it's a giraffe. I don't mean to ruin anything, but the end boss's final antagonistic "come on" line is... "its on!" like a 15 year old girl. Ultimatly this movie's only driving force was the action and that's about it. You'll leave the theater shaking your head laughing and saying "I paid money to see this garbage?"

Blegh!

Best comedy I've seen all year.
