Batman Begins

This movie has to be the greatest Batman movie ever made. The action, character
development, and story all together were awesome. It's a breath of fresh air compared
to this other crap that's been coming out lately. Christian Bale is probably one
of the best actors I know of, and he was the only person to get both Batman and
Bruce Wayne down almost perfect. If you've never seen any of his movies, this is
definitely one to check out. I can also recommend American Psycho, Equilibrium,
and The Machinist. This is a definite movie to add to your collection if I ever
saw one.

I'll be upfront and admit that I've never really liked Batman very much. I just
seem him as the non-super hero, since he doesn't have any powers at all, and is
just a rich guy with a bunch of cool toys. Besides that, the old Batman movies just
didn't really hold my attention long enough to entertain me much.
But this movie changed all of that. They did everything right in this movie to make
it a really great film. The acting is incredible, the direction, story, action sequences...All
of it just fell together perfectly. Christian Bale is definitely the best actor
that's taken on the role of Bruce Wayne AND Batman. Michael Keaton was a great Batman,
but an iffy Bruce Wayne, and Val Kilmer was a great Bruce Wayne but an iffy Batman.
George Clooney was just sort of...there...But Christian Bale actually fits both
roles perfectly, which makes for a much more entertaining cinematic adventure.
Although I don't usually get big into bonus features at all, I was a bit bugged
by the fact that the Batman Begins DVD only has bonus features available through
a DVD-ROM drive on a computer. It just seemed really odd, to me, since almost every
DVD has at least some bonus features that are accessible by just about everybody.
Regardless, though, Batman Begins is definitely a movie that has to be added to
your DVD collection.
