Superbad

One of the most
anticipated comedies of the summer, and it who could blame ya, they advertised it
like crazy. this movie is a American Pie-esk type of movie where the main characters
are trying to get laid. You follow the 3 main characters around as they converse
with each other much like the icons cartoon with just witty, crude language and
jokes at each others expense. the first
20 minutes is golden but as you approach what should be the meat of the plot, it
starts to sag abit and insults start to run dry. As the movie progresses, and it
starts to pick up again the humor leans more toward the slapstick, situational side.
now there's to
ways to walk out of this movie. its
either
1) Ya loved it
and thought it was a riot, but for some odd reason non of the funny parts stand
out in your mind as something quotable, to reminisce about on the car ride home.
2) ya walk out
with your arms crossed chuckling to your friend how funny the movie was, but can't
quite look directly at him due to the extremely homosexual overtones in the last
10 minutes of the movie. leaving for
a kinda silent awkward ride home.
I WARN YOU IF YOU WATCH THIS MOVIE: the last 10 minutes
(excluding the credits sequence) have extremely homosexual overtones and will make
you very uncomfortable if you see it with your best friend. make sure if you do
see it, you mentally prepare and warn your friend too. or you will be a victim of
scenario number 2.

All the hype about Superbad was well
founded! First bring a pair or two of diapers to this movie cuz your gonna be pissing
yourself with laughter! This was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long
ass time. I completely agree with the trailers when they say that every generation
has that movie that defines them, this is totally that movie for this generation!
By this generation I’m talking about those kids that are in high school or have
just recently graduated, kids 15-19…the age group that annoys me the most. But this
is their movie, just like American Pie was for my generation and Dazed and Confused
and fast times at Richmont High was for my brother’s generation. What is good about
this movie is that they actually got a cast that really looked like they were in
high school. I hate when movies cast 26 year olds as 18-year-old high school kids!
Like the hot chick in Transformers, yes she was hot as all fucking hell but she
didn’t look like she was a Jr in high school. In this movie every body looked like kids that made the movie feel more
believable. I’m gonna predict that we are going to be hearing the name Mclovin for
a long time to come! Although there was a real good chemistry between the two main
characters is was defiantly Mclovin who stole the show! Gotta love the underdog! The two cops were god damn funny also,
almost made me like cops again, sure as hell made me wanna be a cop then I remember
that in real life you probably can’t get drunk and shoot stop signs on duty. I can’t
really think of anything bad about this movie, sure there are some awkward quasi-gay
moments but isn’t that what high school life is? The awkward moments not the gay
ones. Taking place during the course of one day and crazy night. With booze, drugs,
profanity, crazy hijacks and trying to get laid! Over all I highly recommend seeing
this.
